The Mission of the Parish Council at St. Gabriel is a community of faith, gathered in the name of Jesus to unify, plan, reconcile and energize the goals of the parish. In this context, the Council shares responsibility with the pastor for the mission and ministry of the Parish. The council is meant to bring together the wisdom, time, talent and other gifts of the community and plan the local mission. The Parish Council is comprised of 12 people, representing the: Spiritual, Social, Service, Administrative, Financial appointed people as well as 4 voted members.
The Mission of the Finance Committee is to independently oversee and monitor the parish financial budget. As required by Canon Law, the committee advises and assists the Pastor and Parish Leadership with information on the current state of the budget in relation to the plan. Additionally, the Committee actively engages in fundraising initiatives to meet the parish and diocesan stewardship plans. The Committee also makes recommendations to the leadership team for the following year based on existing programs.
The Mission of the Ways and Means Committee is to help provide financial resources to meet St Gabriel's annual objectives. The committee, as a community of faith, assists the parish in balancing St Gabriel Budget through fundraising events. These events draw upon and celebrate our rich diversity in ethnicity, age, and cultures.
The Hospitality Committee is a group of people working together to make St Gabriel’s church more welcoming to our existing parishioners and those in our neighborhood. This group works to ensure that both our liturgical and non-liturgical functions are welcoming and inviting.

The Mission of the Office volunteers provides reception and administrative support. You will support the clergy, office manager and other church staff. Volunteers will perform a variety of administrative tasks depending on day or season.
The Mission of the Money Counters is to accurately count and categorize the offertory and special collections from all the weekend and Holy Day Masses. By proficiently completing their assigned tasks, this committee assists the pastor and finance committee to maintain accurate financial records that will pass third party scrutiny.
Social groups are a chance to get to know people from the parish and learn new people. Each social function might participate in meetings, social events, retreats as well as service events. Each committee has its own schedule, but anyone is welcome, even if you are not from that country of origin or ethnicity.
These groups share the Good News through their actions, celebrations, and relationships.
The Mission of the Communications Team is to ensure that St Gabriel digital presence is managed in a standardized manner that communicates to Parishioners in multiple channels (email, text, phone, web), in the person preferred mode (e.g., English via text, Spanish via phone) while ensuring the communications are effective.
The Mission of the Volunteer Committee is to be the clearinghouse (along with all committees) to recruit volunteers for the St Gabriel Church. This committee will:
1. Find and identify the needs as requested from the various committees.
2. Ensure volunteers are smoothly transitioned and trained and collect feedback on the process to improve volunteer training and support
3. Build a database and collect the parishioner “skills/abilities/desires” and St Gabriel “needs” to better support matching skills and abilities
4. Build a reporting mechanism so that parishioners time and talent are recorded to better recognize their activities.

The Parish Corporators is the legal vehicle for managing the affairs of the parish and establishing specific legal accountability for those affairs. There is a separate corporation for each parish and this role acts as the Board of Directors with each parish. They are responsible for assuring that matters such as safety, condition of the physical plant, hiring of personnel, finances, security of parish assets, operations in accordance with Archdiocesan policies and compliance with State and Federal Laws are being dealt with within a reasonable and prudent manner. Corporators need not do these things themselves but must assure they are being done.
