The St. Vincent de Paul Mobile Clothing Truck will return to St. Gabriel on September 27 & 28 from 3PM Saturday until 1:30PM Sunday. Please look into your closets for clothing that is still clean and useable. This includes socks, shoes, underwear, sweats, tennis shoes, blouses, skirts, jeans, suits (men and womens) and children's clothing. All of this is directed to the homeless or those having a new start in life (going into transistional housing or having an independent apartment). Sorry, we cannot collect furniture, computers, but children's small toys are acceptable. Towels, wash cloths, blankets, sheets are just great!
Celebrate with us: St. Vincent de Paul Society is celebrating its 175th Anniversary this year and we plan on celebrating the weekend of September 27/28. We will be at the truck and hosting sip and dip that weekend. Come join us, look at our displays, ask about what we do at St. Gabriel's as well as what goes on in the larger community. How can you help----in the pantry, near the truck, at the blood drive?
Remember: The blood drive will be held Monday, December 1 from 3-7:30PM in the annex. Please save your donation for St. Gabriel. A donor can give every 56 days. Put this date on your calendar.
Pantry - We are doing fine with cereal, at present. What we are in dire need of is canned tuna, salmon, chicken, spaghetti & meatball, fruits and desserts (puddings, cake mixes, icings) along with canned vegetables, pastas, etc. Thanks you all for your many generous donations! We couldn't be of assistance to our community without your help. Many have lost jobs and have little or no income. We helped ten families within a week.
